Secret to Overcoming Fear

In a climate of fear and rhetorics of war, we need to repeat the promises of God. Do not become afraid or perplexed. Let your heart repose in God he has promised that He will give you peace. Be encouraged.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but of power and of love and of sound judgement and personal discipline (abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control).
 2 Timothy 1:7

Be simple-heart to believe the promises of God. Firmly believing that what He has said, He is able to perform. "Do not be afraid of them;" (whatever it is that caused you to fear) the scripture says..."For the Lord, your God will fight for you."
Deuteronomy 3:22

Draw near to God, He loves you and therefore will not hurt you, but comfort you and heal your wound. "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and He delivers them."
Psalm 34:7

Train yourself to believe in the word of God, study the will of God and endeavour to abide by them. There is a danger for those who refuse to walk in the light as God gives it. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake."
Deuteronomy 3:6

As you go upward and forward remember your feelings are no evidence that you are not loved by God. Look away from yourself and trust Him to help you overcome fear.
