LIFE MATTERS

We live in a hostile world where life is not held sacred and as a result, many are heartbroken, because of the evil that has been done to them, or their loved ones.

It is, therefore, a wonderful and comforting thought to know, that despite the hostility of our world, we have one who cares for us. Christ came to teach the human family the way of life, and He made this way so plain, that even a little child can walk in it. He invites all to follow Him.
Everything we do, every word spoken whether for good or evil has an effect, though our actions may be unseen by our associates. We should not underestimate the power of little acts because little acts of evil become small inconsistencies which mould our characters. Consequently, we should strive to strengthen every effort for good in order that we might reach a high standard.

All were given a life of purpose, hence all are required to show forth God's praise, in the way we conduct our affairs in life. Some have been given intellectual greatness, others abilities equally great, whatever our capabilities we are encouraged to use them wisely. Every one of you can make your mark. You should be content with no mean attainments. Aim high, and work diligently, spare no pain to reach the standard.

The words of Alfred North Whitehead the British philosopher still rings true today as it did in his time when he remarked. "The art of progress is to preserve order amid change." We must recognise that we cannot reach perfection in a day, for that reason, let us not become despondent as we see the difficulties that arise each day.

All can attain to perfection if we but realise that "diligence is the mother of good fortune, and idleness - its opposite never brought a man to the goal of any of his best wishes." In life, we will all have seasons of perplexity and difficulties, but they must not cause us to stop striving until we accomplish our goals.
